About Jeff

Jeff Riedel

Jeff Riedel brings 28 years of experience in the restaurant and hospitality industry to his position of Executive Chef at 103 West. For more than half of his career he has worked for Buckhead Life. A Chicago native, Jeff started his career in a small Italian restaurant which sparked his interest in the culinary arts. After graduating from Joliet Junior College with his Associates Degree in 1986, Jeff worked for Marriot International as a Culinary Trainee, and later Food Production Manager for 10 years. He joined Buckhead Life Restaurant Group as a line cook and was ultimately promoted to his current position in 1999. Throughout his career in the restaurant industry, Jeff has truly developed his passion for food and attention to detail. His favorite foods to prepare and eat are classic French cuisine and European dishes. Jeff is passionate about charcuterie, a specialization in smoked meats and seafood entrees. When he’s not in the kitchen Jeff enjoys mushroom foraging, which allows him to add flavorful variety to his dishes.

About Joseph

Joseph Geonczy

Joseph Geonczy brings more than 45 years of experience to his longtime position of Executive Pastry Chef at 103 West. Chef Joseph received a pastry degree from the Hungarian Pastry Institute in Budapest, his hometown. Since his graduation in 1968, he has gained tremendous experience in various positions, both in Hungary and the United States. Most notably he was the pastry chef at the Kenessy Gourmet International Restaurant in Chicago, Jasmine Porch at Kiawah Island Inn, South Carolina, Ritz Carlton Hotel in Chicago, Hillcrest Country Club and François Restaurant in Los Angeles. He joined the 103 West team in 1988. Throughout his culinary career, Joseph has gained national attention for his desserts, even receiving a thumbs up for his peach tart and opera cake by nationally-acclaimed chefs Emeril Lagasse and Jean Banchet. He is also a named member of the Historic Chef Society in Chicago. In his spare time, he enjoys nature photography, hiking, traveling, gardening and listening to heavy metal music.

Julian Baker

With 20 years in the hospitality industry, Julian has worked both front of house and back of house, by doing so he has gained various skills and knowledge. While in Chicago he learned New Orleans style cuisine from his grandmother and grill master techniques from his father. In 2013 he was recruited by Chef Jeff Riedel to work for Buckhead Life Restaurants and has been thriving at 103 West ever since. As well as working for 103 West, Julian is pursuing his Culinary Arts Management degree from The Art Institute of Atlanta. In his spare time he loves creating new recipes and extending his knowledge of cooking by preparing and sharing dishes with his family.

Julie joined the 103 West team as Private Events Coordinator in January of 2017 after working at Buckhead Life’s Corporate office in 2016. Previously working as a Flight Attendant and having a passion for people, Julie has a vast amount of job experience in the hospitality and customer service industry. Now as a Privates Event Manager, Julie is responsible for promoting and selling 103 West’s facilities to prospective clients. Julie is an Atlanta native and when not at 103 West you can find her spending time with her two teenagers, indulging fine dining, travel, photography and spending time with those close to her heart.

Ashley Miale-Durrett

Ashley joined the 103 West team as a Private Event Sales Manager in January 2018. Previously she worked at Fado Irish Pub as the Sales and Events Manager for the last 4 years, in charge of the 2 Atlanta locations. Now as a Private Event Sales Manager, Ashley is responsible for promoting and selling 103 West’s facilities to prospective clients. With having many years in the hospitality industry, she is here to build and maintain relationships with prospective clients and to insure their events run smoothly. In her spare time; Ashley enjoys DIY projects, spending time with her family and friends and planning her next traveling adventures.

Christine Morgan- Udell

Christine joined the 103 West team as a Private Events Coordinator in November of 2017. With a degree in Hospitality Administration from Georgia State University and working for Buckhead Life since 2014, this transition within the company was a seamless fit. As a Private Events Coordinator, Christine is responsible for processing all event inquiries for 103 West including corporate and social events as well as receptions and private parties. In her spare time, Christine enjoys spending time with family and friends, having lazy Saturday afternoons with her cat Sophie and cheering on the Green Bay Packers every Sunday.

Jerry Bures

About Jerry

Jerry Bures

Jerry Bures brings extensive experience and knowledge to his position as General Manager at 103 West. A graduate of the Hotel College in Marienbad, Czech Republic, Jerry’s USA career began in 1969. More recently, he worked for Food Services by MGR, Inc. as Restaurant Manager to open and operate The Terraces, a fine dining restaurant in the Georgia World Congress Center. A couple of years later, Jerry was promoted to Director of Operations, Public Facilities. In the early 90s, Jerry was transferred to the Georgia Dome to launch and manage its food service facilities. Transferred again by the parent company to become General Manager of food services at the Georgia International Convention Center in College Park where he established high standards for food and service. Jerry also continued as director of operations for the catering company, Proof of the Pudding and for several years owned and operated award-winning, Atlanta’s Midtown favorite, Marra’s Seafood Grill. Since 2003, Jerry has served as General Manager of 103 West, where he has built a loyal clientele and helped make 103 West Atlanta’s premier private events venue.

Najat Radwane

Najat joined the 103 West team over 10 years ago, as 103 West's Banquet Captain. Through her meticulous attention to banquet operations and knowledgeable presence, Najat was promoted to 103 West's Operations Manager, in August 2017. As the Operations Manager, Najat is the key liaison during and after events with clients, kitchen and the sales team. Najat coordinates and manages the set-up and production of onsite events, ensuring the delivery of a high quality event that makes 103 West Atlanta’s premier private events venue.
